Thanks for confirming. I recommend creating an additional pay type by following the steps below: 

  1.     From the left menu, select Employees.
  2.     Select the employee by choosing their name
  3.     Click on the Additional pay section under Pay, select the edit pencil beside Pay. 
  4.     Name the Additional Pay Type as "Severance Pay" 
  5.     Hit Save and continue

You can then use this Additional Pay Type when running payroll. Keep in mind that it'll be subject to tax. If you've got questions, don't hesitate to ask. I'm here to help.
