If I want an employee to have $3,000 net pay, how can I calculate what the gross would be?

Hello,

This is a very interesting question and I suggest you connect with your accountant to get the most accurate answer for your business needs. With QuickBooks Online, you can give your accountant access to your account in a few easy steps. To do so, check this community article on how to manage an accountant user in QuickBooks Online. If you don't have an accountant, you can find a certified ProAdvisor in your area through this link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/ca/find-an-accountant/.

Let me know if you need help with anything else.

In Quickbooks Desktop this option is available, but unfortunately, there is no function in QBO payroll that will allow you to make a net to gross calculation.  You might be able to find something online, although I've scoured the web and can find no net to gross calculators for Canada.  Maybe you'll have better luck.
