My Payroll Tax will not give me the option to submit my T4 info to the CRA, can't converty into a XML?

Hi cdkfam,

Tax season is almost over! Since the last day of February was on Saturday this year, there's still some time to submit your forms. The payroll solutions available in QuickBooks Online streamline the production of your T4s, helping you get through this hectic time of year without breaking a sweat. I'll be happy to help you get these files.

QuickBooks Online Standard Payroll is a simple and effective solution, designed to give you control over your books with powerful features. Your summary and slips are both included in the same file, which can be obtained in just a few easy steps:

  1. From the left menu select Taxes and then Payroll Tax.
  2. Select Annual Forms under the Forms section.
  3. Select T4 slip (employer).
  4. Choose the period and select View. The T4 summary (employer) opens in a new tab. (Note: It's a good idea to print or save a copy for your records.)
  5. Go back to QuickBooks Online in the previous tab and select Submit. This will export your T4 slips as an XML file and automatically archive a copy for your records in QuickBooks Online.

This great article includes additional information on this process: How to prepare T4 slips and summary
