On the T4 slips in Quickbooks, the Employer's Account Number does not show whereas it shows on the T4 Summary and the employer's T4 copies. How can this be fixed?

On the T4 slips in Quickbooks, the Employer's Account Number does not show whereas it shows on the T4 Summary and the employer's T4 copies. How can this be fixed?

I'm glad to hear that you're reviewing your year-end forms to make sure they have all the necessary details before submitting them to the government and your employees. It's perfect that your T4 Summary and employer copies of T4s have the Employer Account Number. The copies of the T4s that go to your employees aren't required to have this number, which is why they're not on the forms generated by the program.

 

Here's a blurb I found from the Canada Revenue Agency website: 

  • Box 54 – Employer's account number
    Enter the 15-character account number that you use to send us your employees' deductions. This number is your payroll program account number that appears at the top of your PD7A statement of account. Your payroll program account number should not appear on the two copies of the T4 slip that you give to your employees.
