How can I match RRSP and pay the amount to provider in 2022 and include this in employee's T4 for 2021? to be clear, we did not calculate, accrue or paid anything in 2021, but we want to match our employee's RRSP in 2022 for 2021 and include this benefit in their T4 for 2021.

Hey Sam,

I couldn't agree more with @Trish_T here, T4's Taxes, RRSP's AND QBO Payroll all make for a complex solution. Sadly there's no easy fix here & QBO's basic payroll platform wasn't built to post things retroactively or manually edit T4's so the work-around you'd need would take some time/effort.

I'm not even sure we could do it but a Good QBO Advisor/Accountant will be able to help you get the T4's filed correctly even if they have to be manually edited outside QBO.
