How do I apply an overpayment in the Payroll Tax Centre from one period to a payment due in the next period?

Hi there,

I know how important it is to make sure your payroll tax liabilities are recorded correctly. Sometimes, your business can be reimbursed for overpaid taxes. Don't worry, I'll explain how you'll go about recording the overpayment.

In fact, you don't have to record any special transactions to account for the overpayment of your payroll tax liabilities. You'll simply wait until your next filing, and make the adjustments at that time.

Here's how you'll make payroll tax payments for next time: Make payroll tax payments. Before approving, ensure you've made the necessary adjustments to account for your overpayment.

If you have any other questions about that, please reach out to our tech support team.

Have a wonderful day.

How do I apply an overpayment in the Payroll Tax Centre from one period to a payment due in the next period?

the payroll payment  says   1262.08  record payment  this amount will come out of bank account

but i need the overpayment  to reflect on the 1262.08  so my balance to pay should be   794.52

with the 467.56 off of the 1262.08    so how do  i record the payment  but need that 467.56 overpayment

to reflect off of the balance  before i can take out of banking account.

i did a historical payment for the wage subsidy which is the 467.56 amount
