How do I delete or reverse a September 2020 payroll liability that has been recorded as paid through QuickBooks

The amount has not been paid; but it appears one of my Team Members used the Payment Feature to pay the full amount. This is incorrect I need to delete or reverse this entry

How do I delete or reverse a September 2020 payroll liability that has been recorded as paid through QuickBooks

Hello m_duah,

 

I'm happy to learn you're using QuickBooks to to keep track of your transactions. QuickBooks makes it simple to manage your payroll liabilities with the help of powerful features and resource. I'd be glad to show you how to delete a payroll liability payment. 

 

To do this, follow the steps below: 

  1. Click on the Taxes tab and select Payroll Tax.
  2. Click on View tax payments you have made (this is found below the Pay Taxes button).
  3. Select the desired Date Range then click Run Report.
  4. Open the tax payment you wish to delete by clicking on the text in the TAX PAYMENT column.
  5. Click on Delete in the top right, then Yes to confirm you wish to delete the payment.

Keep in mind that doing this will delete the payment from the tax center and from the bank register. If you're currently using Advanced Payroll, I suggest contacting our support for further assistance with this. Here are our contact details:
