How do I e-file an ROE?

Hello imurphy,

Creating and submitting ROE's is a crucial part of running a successful business. QuickBooks makes it simple to adhere to the rules set by the CRA. With the ease of use of the program, you can get your work done faster. I'll be happy to assist with sharing info about ROEs.

If you're using Standard Payroll, you're responsible for filling an official ROE form and submitting it through the CRA's EFILE system. The good thing is QuickBooks generates an ROE template for you, however, it's important to note that this document isn't for submission as it's only used as a reference. Please visit the CRA website I've linked here to see how to EFILE your electronic files: CRA - EFILE for electronic filers

If you're using Advanced Payroll Powered by Wagepoint, you have a great benefit as the ROEs are generated on your behalf. To get started, you'll need to fill out an ROE Authorization Form, and we'll make sure to submit your documents for you. To see a list of steps regarding electronic filings for Advanced Payroll users, take a look at this article: Submit a Record of Employment Form.

Feel free to ask questions in the comment below. I'm here to get you on track so you can focus on what you love. Otherwise, I wish you a prosperous rest of the year. :)
