How does Wagepoint calculate holiday pay. The amounts don't seem to be correct. People working similar hours with same hourly rate the amounts are not close.

It sounds like you have a sharp eye for detail, and I'm glad to see you're verifying wages calculated for your employees while using Advanced Payroll powered by Wagepoint with QuickBooks Online. Having a sense of how it works is a big part of feeling confident in using it, so I'd be happy to go over this with you.
One of the main selling points for Advanced Payroll is the automation the program offers, which includes automating stat holiday pay. The first step in this process is always making sure you have the holidays set up correctly in the program. When those are set up, the program then runs calculations based on the previous four weeks of data run through the program and the provincial requirements for stat holidays. The provincial requirements are set by the work location assigned to the employee. So if the employee works in Ontario, the program would calculate based on Ontario's stat holiday pay requirements.
The previous four weeks of data run through Payroll is an important aspect to pay attention to. If the one employee has less data than the other, that could be contributing to the difference you're seeing. It's also important to note that year-to-date totals completed during the initial setup process don't count toward this calculation.
