Hello naztekservices-g,
Glad to have you join the Community. I'll be happy to guide you in the right direction so you can easily meet your payroll needs while using QuickBooks.
It's vital you set up each employee for Direct Deposit in order to pay them with ease. Here's how:
1. Ensure the employee has completed the Direct Deposit Authorization Form.
2. Go to Payroll and select Employees.
3. Select the employee that you would like to set up for direct deposit.
4. Edit the Payment method and select Direct Deposit from the dropdown menu.
5. Complete the fields using the information from the employee's authorization form.
6. Select Save.

Good day. My issue is the payment method is set to direct deposit. I go through the steps mentioned above and it says payment method is DD. Then I go and click on the paycheck list and it says pay method cheque. I don't know how to change it. I am supposed to run payroll today.
Hi LUSTMGMT, I appreciate the steps you have taken to set your employees' pay method to Direct Deposit (DD).
It seems you are referring to a paycheque listed in the Paycheck List tab.
Please note that changing an employee's payment method to Direct Deposit (DD) affects future paycheques only and does not impact transactions that have already been processed. Since you've successfully set your employee to DD, the pay method will automatically default to this option when running new payroll.
If it doesn't update when processing a new payroll, you can manually adjust the Pay method by following these steps:

Please note that if this is the first time using DD for this employee, ensure the setup has been completed and approved. Initial DD setups may require a processing time of up to two business days for verification.
If you mean changing the Pay method of the processed paycheque from the Paycheque List tab, you can refer to this article for more information: How to edit Paycheques in QuickBooks Online Payroll.
