In QuickBooks Online Payroll (QBOP), you can resolve certain payroll tax overpayments directly in the product, ensuring your reports and tax forms remain accurate.
To address the overpayment, navigate to All apps > Payroll > Payroll taxes > Payments. Locate the overpaid tax in the Action Needed section and select Resolve. If you wish to request a refund or apply your overpayment to the next liability period, please contact our QBOP Live Support team. You will also need to contact the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) directly when requesting a refund.
