Hi there,
QuickBooks makes it easy to generate an ROE and I'll be happy to show you how.
Since you didn't save the previous ROE, here's how to generate an ROE:
Once you've generated your ROE, you'll get an option to download the ROE as a PDF. Depending on the PDF viewer you have, the options of printing it may vary. For more info on accessing your ROE, check out this helpful article from our Community: Create a Record of Employment (ROE).

I can't find the roe on qb online that i forgot to save
Hello Expert5. Thanks for messaging us here. It's important to note that in order to retrieve forms on your account, they'd have to be saved first. Otherwise, any unsaved data won't be available for retrieval. Let me know if you have other questions, I'm here to steer you in the right direction.
How do you regenerate the ROE, my internet dropped and I couldn't save however employee's status did change?
Hi there bricklee-qbo-gmai,
Thank you for contacting us regarding your records of employment. QuickBooks Online Payroll is a tool that can help you calculate your payroll deductions so you can report them to the government. I can point you in the right direction for assistance with your employment records.
To recreate the record employee, you would need to go into the employee's details, and mark them as active one more. Save the employee, then go back, and mark them as terminated, adding the correct date and reason. Once this is done, the ability to generate a record of employment will be displayed again.
If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out here.
I'm trying to go back in but just repeatedly get the spinning wheel of death. I've let it spin for more than 20 minutes now but I cannot get their ROE because every time I hit save it moves the employee to inactive but I never get the option to see their ROE. Is there another way?
Thanks!

Let's perform some basic troubleshooting steps to determine if this is browser-related. Start by logging into your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account using a private or incognito window. Browser issues like cached data can cause problems. Using an incognito window creates a clean browsing session without stored cookies or history.
Refer to the following keyboard shortcuts specific to your browser type:
If the private browsing session works, clear your browser's cache to refresh the system. Ensure you're using a supported and updated browser for optimal QuickBooks performance.
Additionally, I've gathered helpful resources to guide you through generating, submitting, and archiving payroll tax forms for the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA):
