Before we proceed, could you clarify which work location you made a mistake in? Was it your primary work location on file or the work location assigned to your employee?
If the incorrect location is your company's primary work location, no processed paycheques or a minor correction in the same state, please see the steps below:
- Go to the Gear icon, then Payroll settings.
- Click the pencil icon in the Work locations section.
- Click Edit on the primary work location.
- Update the address details.
- Hit Save.
However, if you’re referring to your employee’s work location, here’s how you can change it:
- Navigate to the Payroll menu, then Employees.
- Select the employee's name you need to update.
- In the Employment details section, click Edit.
- Use the Work location dropdown to select or add a work location.
- Click Save
Please know that if paycheques have already been processed for the affected work location, QuickBooks prevents editing or deleting the Primary Work Location to protect tax records.
