Hey page1buildingdes,

It's great to see you're taking the extra steps to make sure payroll is set up perfectly. Properly configuring deductions and pay types is the best way to take full advantage of the powerful calculations, and sets you up for an easy year end. You can be confident your T4s will be accurate, and you'll always know how much to remit. Most standard pay types and deductions are supported, and I'll be glad to help you set this up.

The most important thing when creating a deduction is to have the correct tax settings. These appear at the bottom when assigning it to an employee. Check out this table to get a quick look at the supported pay types and deductions: Supported pay types and deductions explained

If you're unsure what the correct tax setting are, your accountant has your back. You can easily invite your accountant as a user to approach this together. To search for a pro in your area, simply head to the My Accountant tab in QuickBooks Online then click on Find a pro to help

Let me know how this goes! I want to make sure everything is smooth sailing until next tax season.
