Is there a way to set up a payroll contribution to be on one paycheque per month? Employees are paid semi-monthly

We can set up a payroll contribution and manually edit the paycheque to remove it from one of the paycheques. I'll guide you through the steps to manage this setup and the necessary manual adjustments. We got this, Kristen.

Payroll contributions are withheld from each paycheque. Since you want these deductions to appear and be deducted in one of the paycheques for your semi-monthly employees, we can make manual adjustments each time.

If you haven't set up the payroll contribution, here's how you can do it:

  1. Head to the Payroll menu and select Employees.
  2. Choose your preferred employee.
  3. From Deductions & contributions, click Start or Edit.
  4. Select + Add deduction/contribution.
  5. Choose an existing Deduction/contribution, or + Add deduction/contribution.
  6. Complete the necessary details, click Save, then hit Done.

Now, let's manually edit and remove the payroll contribution on the employee's paycheque by following these steps:

  1. Go to the Payroll menu, then click Run Payroll.
  2. Select a pay schedule and Continue.
  3. Tick your preferred employee, then hit Preview payroll.
  4. On the Net Pay column, click the search icon.
  5. Locate the payroll contribution and edit the amount to 0.
  6. Once done, hit Save.

Please follow the steps above to include your payroll contribution in the next paycheque. This time, enter your desired amount in the field where you previously set the contribution to zero.

Furthermore, you can create a payroll summary report for future reference. It will provide detailed information on your employee's wages, taxes, deductions, and contributions.

By following the steps outlined above, you can efficiently handle the specific payroll contributions for each of your semi-monthly paid employees. We're still here to guide you if you encounter any challenges or have further questions.
