Hello, payroll was processed with a pay date of Nov 13/20, the staff was not paid on Nov 13/20. QB has a note that says Nov 16/20 pay date, is there a reason for this?

Hi Hilary B,

Glad to hear from you again. Using direct deposit in QuickBooks Online Payroll is a great way to ensure your employees get paid on time. I'll be happy to shed some light on how the processing time works.

Direct deposits posting are determined by employees' bank. When the paycheck date falls on a non-banking day or within a banking holiday, the funds get in the employee's bank account on the next banking day. Given that November 11 was a banking holiday, it wasn't counting as a banking day. A good practice to ensure your employee gets paid on time in this type of scenario is to process your payroll a day in advance.

I hope this helps to clarify things for you. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have more questions.
