What is the fasted way to resolve an urgent issue with a payroll account- insufficient funds

QuickBooks Online payroll is a great program that gives you the ability to pay your employees and track your remittances. I'd be glad to point you in the right direction regarding insufficient funds for payroll.

If the bank doesn't accept all your payments or there is an insufficient funds, QuickBooks still pays your employees. However, your payroll service will be temporarily suspended (on NSF hold) until we are able to debit your account. You will receive an email with instruction regarding the suspension.

Hi there, my QuickBooks Online account try to debit my account for a salary, but there was not enough money in the account and so it was an NSF. I am hoping that QuickBooks will red debit this payment as I need to have my account unblocked. Hi there, Alex. When a payroll payment is returned due to Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF), QuickBooks places a temporary hold on your account to prevent further failed transactions. Please note that QuickBooks does not always automatically attempt to re-debit the payment.

To resolve this issue quickly, we recommend contacting our QuickBooks Support Team. Our agents can securely verify your payroll status and guide you through the next steps to restore your service.

How to contact us:

1. Click the Help (?) button at the top right of your screen.
2. Select Contact Us at the bottom of the panel.
3. Briefly describe your issue (e.g., "NSF Payroll Hold") and select Continue.
