Will the workforce terminate for employees if I cancel the payroll subscription in Quickbooks?

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community. I'd be happy to provide some information on Workforce and canceling your payroll subscription.

If you have already issued a T4 via QuickBooks Workforce and then cancel your payroll subscription, it will not affect your former employee’s ability to download their T4 from QuickBooks Workforce.

To cancel your QuickBooks payroll subscription, you can follow these steps:

1. Complete your final payroll tasks, including printing necessary payroll reports. 

2. Pay any outstanding tax deposits and process and file any outstanding annual or quarterly forms.
3. Cancel your payroll service by following the steps below:

• Go to Settings.
• Select Billing & subscription.
• In the Payroll section, select Cancel.

Please note that if you have a full-service payroll subscription, you should leave your bank account open until QuickBooks debits and pays your tax liabilities.

When we cancel Workforce Elite & Workforce Elite Worker Charge, will we be able to access all prior payroll information? 

Are you using the US version of QuickBooks Workforce? If so, you can still access all your prior payroll data until one year after canceling your subscription. Just ensure you export and save copies of your reports before you cancel.
