When the entered expense has the exact same details (amount, date, and description) as the transaction in the Bank transactions page, QuickBooks will automatically suggest a match. You can then review and confirm it to move forward with the reconciliation.
To do this, here's how:
- In the Bank transactions page, navigate to the Pending tab.
- Find the downloaded record that has a suggested match.
- Select the transaction and review the details in the Match suggestion column.
- Once verified, click Match.
After that, the transaction will move to the Posted tab, and you can continue with your monthly reconciliations.
