My October RBC visa statement didn't import. I now have to enter them manually as RBC says they can't go back that far. I know how to enter manually but how do I get them to show up in banking so that I can categorize them?
Hi there Cheryl595,
It's important that all your transactions be correctly entered for your books to be well balanced. QuickBooks Online is a great tool able to help you keep track of sales and expenses so that you can view the profit and other financials of your company. I can provide some information about importing transactions.
Other than the automatic bank connection, if you'd like to have transactions to be imported into the For review section of the Banking tab would be to manually upload bank transactions from a file using the steps provided in the linked article. This can be done with a file provided by your bank, or a file you've manually created with the correct format.
If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out here.
I have manually entered each expense. What do I do to have them show under banking so I can categorize and reconcile?
Glad to hear back from you. QuickBooks sends downloaded transactions to the For review tab in your Banking tab in QuickBooks. You'd have to review them one by one and add them to your QuickBooks banking tab. This article explains the steps you can follow in order to achieve the goal of uploading your transactions. Feel free to ask questions as you go through the steps, I'll be one message away in case you need anything else.
