Recent updates to the QuickBooks Online app often lead to temporary changes, such as missing features or icons. However, I've checked the app and the Search bar is visible. Please see the screenshot below:

To resolve your issue, let's refresh the data to fix syncing discrepancies, fix errors and glitches and clear stored data. To do so, follow the steps below:
For iOS:
- Go to Menu ☰, then tap Settings..
- Tap Refresh Data, then Refresh Now.
For Android:
- Go to Menu ☰, then tap More Options ⋮.
- Tap Settings, then Refresh Data.
- Tap YES to confirm.
