Using the Pro Tax QuickBar search box

The Pro Tax QuickBar search box allows users to save time and effort by quickly finding and accessing Pro Tax actions and forms, making this the fastest way to prepare a return. You will see suggested results grouped by category as you search and can launch any action from the QuickBar,  creating a simplified Pro Tax workflow.



QuickBar actions in Pro Tax

There are many actions available in the search bar including, but not limited to:

T1 moduleT2 moduleOther actions
  • Auto-Fill my Return (GED)
  • switch to spouse
  • ENOA
  • open forms
  • add forms
  • go to Workpapers
  • import a gifi
  • open forms
  • add forms
  • Email a client
  • print a return
  • review and file a return
  • add form
  • go to form
  • export to ProFile
  • save and close a return


Access the QuickBar search box

  1. Open QuickBooks Online Accountant.
  2. Create a new return or select an existing T1 or T2 return.
  3. Click inside the QuickBar search box in the top-left corner.
  4. Enter the search term in the search bar (for example “add forms”).
