Printing a Return or Slips in Pro Tax

by Intuit1 Updated 3 weeks ago

Pro Tax lets you print most forms and slips used. You can also customize your print jobs to make them work better for you.

Print sets

Print sets let you customize how forms and letters are printed and presented from the print job. You can find print sets by going to Tax Settings and selecting the Print tab.

Select your print job from the Print sets dropdown menu. From there you can deselect forms you don't want to print. You can also manually drag forms to change the order of your print set.

Printing forms or letters

To print an individual form or letter in a return, go to the form or letter and select the Return actions dropdown and then Print this form or letter.

Printing returns

For all modules, a return can be printed by going to the Return actions dropdown and selecting Print return.

For T2, you must electronically file in Pro Tax. Printing a return for paper file to the CRA isn't supported, though you may still print a return for your client or your records.

In FX, the only return supported for printing is the T3010.

Printing slips

To print slips for FX or T3, go to the Return actions dropdown and Print slips.

  1. Select the state of the slips you're printing (original, amended, cancelled).
  2. Select your slip type.
  3. Select the employees you want to print slips for.
  4. Select the type of slip copy you'd like to print (CRA, client, your copy).
  5. Select Print.

You can also password protect your clients' slips, but this is optional.
