Upload or download files with Intuit IDX portal
by Intuit• Updated a day ago
Learn how to upload or download your file(s) to and from the Intuit IDX portal.
Sometimes, to help you faster, Intuit needs a file from you. We’ll walk you through how to upload your file to us.
Contact Intuit for your PIN
To send us your file, you’ll need a secure Personal Identification Number (PIN). If you don’t have a PIN, contact us to request one. The PIN will be sent to your email and it expires after 24 hours.
Upload your files
- You can upload your file in any of the following supported formats:
- PDF: .pdf
- Microsoft Word: .doc, .docx
- Microsoft PowerPoint: .ppt, .pptx, .pot, .potx
- Microsoft Excel: .xls, .xlsx, .xlsm, .xlsb
- Text/Rich Text: .txt, .rtf
- Desktop: .QBW, .QBM, .QBA and .QBB
- If you have to send us your QuickBooks Desktop data file, make sure to make a backup.
- If you upload a file with the same name as an existing file, it'll overwrite the original one. Change your file name or create a folder instead.
Download your files
When the Intuit expert sends a file while you’re on the line, select Refresh to see the document, then download it. If you choose to download the file later, follow these steps when you’re ready to access it.
If you need a PIN, check your email for the one we sent. If it's not working, contact us.
Note: Make sure to download your data files as they are removed from the portal and server after 20 days.
