Adding your Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) or Goods and Services Tax (GST) number to your invoices provides transparency for your customers. You can add this information directly within your sales tax settings.
- In QuickBooks Online, go to the Sales Tax app. (Take me there)
- Select Manage Sales Tax.
- Next to the tax agency, select Edit agency settings.
- Enter your GST number in the field provided.
- Note: This field might be labelled GST/HST number based on your province and tax agency.
- Select Save.
Once saved, your tax number will automatically appear on your future customer invoices.
