Automatically invoice unbilled time activities

Learn how to automatically invoice unbilled time activities in QuickBooks Online Essentials, QuickBooks Online Plus, and QuickBooks Online Advanced.

Need help billing your customers for time activities? We got you covered. QuickBooks can automatically create invoices of unbilled time activities for you.

Turn on automatic invoices for unbilled activities

1. Go to Settings ⚙ and select Account and settings (Take me there).
2. Select Advanced, then select Automation.
3. Turn Automatically invoice unbilled activity on.
4. Choose whether to be told when an invoice is created, and when to create it.
   Note: QuickBooks creates invoices on the night of the scheduled date.
5. Select Save, then select Done.

Next steps

To see an invoice after it’s been created, go to Sales and select Invoices (Take me there).
