QuickBooks Time Upgrade and Connection

Thank you for choosing QuickBooks Payroll! Your Payroll subscription now includes the cost and upgrade of your QuickBooks Time account. You must schedule an appointment in order to upgrade your QuickBooks Time account.

Please book an appointment if...

  • Signing up for the Payroll bundle created a separate QuickBooks Time account from the one you currently use.
  • You want to continue using the QuickBooks Time account with historical data.
  • Your newly purchased QuickBooks/Payroll Account is completely set up and you are no longer in a trial.
    • If you would like to continue with the QuickBooks Time account that is currently attached to your bundle, please call 888-723-3038 to cancel your Standalone QuickBooks Time account.

Book an appointment on our calendar, and complete the following steps prior to your appointment. 

Requirements

For Admins: Please confirm that your data in QuickBooks Time matches your QuickBooks file.

  • Confirm the following information for each team member is the same in QuickBooks Time and QuickBooks. This information is Case Sensitive
    • Team members and Suppliers:
      • First name
      • Last name
      • Email address
      • Mobile phone number
    • Customers:
      • Customer name

For Team Members: 

  • Is your team using the Mobile App? Have your team members do these next steps the night or morning before our scheduled appointment.
    1. Open the QuickBooks Time app.
    2. Select the profile icon in the top-left corner of the app.
    3. Tap the sync icon in the bottom-right corner.
    4. The sync is completed successfully when the last sync date shows the current date and time.
    5. Once the app syncs, please uninstall the app. Wait until the upgrade is complete to reinstall and sign in to the app.
  • Is your team logging into the QuickBooks Time  Web Page?
    1. Easy! Nothing for you to do here, just know on the day of the meeting they will be logged out and will need to log back in.
  • Is your team using the Time Clock Kiosk?
    1. Easiest! This process doesn’t affect the kiosk, proceed as normal.
