AVG is detecting the ProFile update as a Trojan horse

When installing or updating ProFile to 2014.0.3, AVG detects it as a Trojan horse.

To allow exceptions for ProFile in AVG:

Recently when upgrading ProFile to the new 2014.0.3 release or when installing the new release on a machine, AVG antivirus is detecting one of our new files for the 2014 year as a Trojan horse. This file is genuine Intuit file and is not going to harm your system. Intuit is currently working with AVG to resolve this issue, however until this is resolved please follow the steps below:

  •  If this message appears click on Ignore threat

  •  Open AVG
  •  Go to Options > Advanced settings

  •  Click on Exceptions and then select Add Exception

  •  In the drop down menu under Exception type, select Folder

  •  Browse to the ProFile folder "C:Program Files (x86)ProFile" and click on OK

  •  Click on Apply and OK
