Occasionally, Check for Updates... is not available on the Online menu.

Resolution
The Check for Updates... option is deliberately missing from the Online menu for workstation installs.
Instead of updating on an individual workstation, the update carries out on the server, which then pushes the update to the individual workstations. The option is missing from the menu because of the workstation install protocol.
Other causes
The Check for Updates... option may also be missing from the Online menu if the user does not sign-in as the computer administrator. In this case, right-click on the ProFile desktop icon and select Run as administrator to see the missing option.
Alternatively, select the Environment... option from the Options drop-down menu in the top toolbar. The Environment Options window displays:
Click the System tab and ensure the Disable Online Features option under the ProFile Online section is not selected.
