External exception C0000006 is generated when importing CRA data via Auto-fill my Return (AFR)

Issue

The fatal error exception code "C0000006" is a networking or network connectivity error; specifically, the C0000006 Windows 7 error is an in-page I/O error:

Troubleshooting

For Local Install

  1. Close ProFile.

2. Reboot the computer.

3. Undertake a Proreg effort.

If these efforts are not successful, undertake an uninstall and reinstall of ProFile.

For Workstation Install

  1. Confirm that ProFile is up-to-date on the server and there are no issues on the server.

2. If there are issues on Server:

                -repair the server
-reboot the workstation
-run a workstation install on the workstation as "Admin"

3. If no issues on the Server:

             Confirm how many workstations affected. If all workstations in the office are affected:

-repair the server
-reboot the workstation
-run a workstation install on the workstation as "Admin"

If it is a few workstations affected:

-reboot the workstation
-run workstation install on workstation as "Admin".
