ProFile has the option to archive a PDF for a return independently or while a return is being printed.
Setting PDF archive options
- Select Environment... from the Options menu in the top toolbar.
- Select the PDF tab.
- Set the options to have the archives set to a central location; a single customized central directory, module/year customized locations, or with the tax return itself.

Archiving a PDF while printing
- Select Print... from the File menu in the top toolbar. The Print Selection window displays.
- Select the Advanced button in the lower-left corner.
3. Select Archive these sets (PDF):
The PDF archives as it is printed.
Archiving a PDF without printing
- Select Print... from the File menu in the top toolbar. The Print Selection window displays.
- Select the Advanced button in the lower-left corner.
3. Select Archive these sets (PDF).
4. Deselect Print these sets.
