Archiving a PDF

ProFile has the option to archive a PDF for a return independently or while a return is being printed.

Setting PDF archive options

  1. Select Environment... from the Options menu in the top toolbar.
  2. Select the PDF tab.
  3. Set the options to have the archives set to a central location; a single customized central directory, module/year customized locations, or with the tax return itself.

The following image illustrates the available options and their settings:

Archiving a PDF while printing

  1. Select Print... from the File menu in the top toolbar. The Print Selection window displays.
  2. Select the Advanced button in the lower-left corner.

3. Select Archive these sets (PDF):

The PDF archives as it is printed.

Archiving a PDF without printing

  1. Select Print... from the File menu in the top toolbar. The Print Selection window displays.
  2. Select the Advanced button in the lower-left corner.

3. Select Archive these sets (PDF).

4. Deselect Print these sets.
