An error message displays when launching ProFile. The error typically reads: An error occurred while reading your license data. Please re-enter your license.
It is followed by an EOle error message.
Resolution
These errors are caused by a corrupted ProFile license. It is necessary to rename some existing files.
1. Navigate to C:\ProgramData in the Windows File Explorer.
2. Rename the GreenPoint folder. Most commonly, this is renamed to GreenPoint-old. The purpose of this is to force ProFile to create a new GreenPoint folder.
3. Reopen ProFile. The first time you open after renaming GreenPoint, ProFile may open more slowly. This is expected.
4. Re-enter the latest ProFile license.
The error should be resolved, and ProFile should operate normally.
If you do not see a ProgramData folder, make sure it is not hidden. In the Windows File Explorer, click the View tab and make sure Hidden items is checked.
