SFD invalid errors occur when trying to EFILE or in the auditor window of a T1 return

An SFD invalid error is often caused by not entering an NCAIS code in a required field in a form such as a T2125 or T2121.

If NCAIS codes are entered in all necessary places, check any corresponding forms on a coupled return and make sure they have an NCAIS code entered as well, or delete the form if the spouse doesn't require it.

If no NCAIS codes are missing:

1. Open Form Explorer.
2. Select List view, then Used in the forms list.
3. Check for any additional forms such as T2125#2, T2125#3 or T2121#2.

If those forms are not in use, open the form.

4. Select Delete Form from the Form dropdown menu in the top toolbar.

If the form is being used, select an NCAIS code. Selecting the NCAIS code is mandatory.
