TTBInc users encounter a “Failed to initiate transaction” error message when attempting to EFILE

Issue

TTBInc users who have not yet updated their version of TurboTax Business Incorporated to 2019.3.0 or later will encounter a “Failed to initiate transaction” error message when attempting to EFILE:

Resolution

TTBInc users must update to version 2019.3.0 or later in order to file your 2019 return online.

If updating before May 31, 2020

To update to the latest version before May 31, 2020, select the Check for Updates option under the Help menu and accept any suggested updates.

If updating after May 31, 2020

To update to the latest version after May 31, 2020, visit the TTBInc website and download the latest installer directly from the site.
