When trying to enter in the license or EFILE password and it says invalid or incorrect

When trying to enter in the license or EFILE password and it says invalid or incorrect

  1. Confirm that the password has been entered correctly, including upper/lower case. The CRA password is case sensitive.
  2. The hyphens in the license key are not important, however, the 6 digit number for the product code and the 15 numbers for the license key must be entered in their entirety.

If the above steps have been followed and the error persists, check the computer?s language setting; it should always be set to English (United States)

  1. Go to Start > Control Panel > type ?Regional Settings? on the top right corner of the window then click on Region and Language
  2. Under the Formats tab, ensure that English (United States) is selected under Format
  3. Under the Keyboard and Languages tab, click on ?Change keyboards?? and ensure that English (United States) ? US is selected.
