Changes to the email address field on the T1 module Info page

An email address can now be used to authorize CRA to send you online mail and email notifications when there is mail for to view in your CRA My Account inbox.

When you register for online mail, any notices or other correspondence eligible for online transmission will no longer be mailed. Instead, an email notification will be sent out, announcing that there is mail to review on CRA's My Account secure online service.

Once the CRA has processed the return, they will send a registration email notification to the email address the tax preparer provided to confirm their registration.
