This release features improvements to printing of forms from the T2 module. If you have an application that can read Adobe PDF files (such as Adobe Reader), ProFile will use that application when printing files. This results in a more consistent and robust printing experience.
Typically, you don't have to do anything. ProFile detects a PDF application behind the scenes, and automatically uses it when it is available.
Adjust print settings
In rare cases, you might have to adjust print settings within your PDF application. Possible symptoms are:
- When printed, a form that is formatted for legal size paper (8.5 x 14 inches) appears on letter size paper (8.5 x 11 inches). This can occur if your printer has separate trays for legal and letter size paper.
- A printed form appears enlarged or reduced on the page.
Resolution
- Open your default PDF application (the application that Windows uses to open PDF files by default).
- Open your printer settings. Typically, this will be a command on the File menu, such as Print or Print Settings.
- If necessary, select the printer that you want to print to.
If your printer supports both legal and letter size paper:
- In the size and scaling options, make sure that you specify Actual size, or None (no scaling).
- If there is an option to let the printer choose the paper source based on the size of the PDF page (such as Choose paper source by PDF size), select it.
If your printer supports only letter size paper:
- In the size and scaling options, make sure that you specify Fit, Fit to page, or Fit to Printer Margins.
- If there is an option to let the printer choose the paper source based on the size of the PDF page (such as Choose paper source by PDF size), clear it.
Print at least one page from the PDF application with your new settings. In some applications, settings are not saved until you actually print a document.
