QuickBooks Time Clock Kiosk FAQ

Q: How much data is used by the kiosk feature?
A: For a company of 10 team members, approximately 60KB is used for each clock-in and clock-out. As the number of team members increases, each clock-in and clock-out uses a bit more data.

Q: Can the Time Clock Kiosk be used offline?
A: No, it must have either a wifi or data connection.

Q: Can I use my Point of Sale device as a clock-in and clock-out kiosk?
A: Yes, you’ll just have to switch back and forth between apps.

Q: How many users does the kiosk feature support?
A: The kiosk easily supports up to 1,000 users. If you have more than that, it still works but may run a bit slower when refreshing the main page with the team member list.

Q: On my Android device, why am I seeing a blank screen after entering our company’s Kiosk URL?
A: This can happen if Android System WebView is not set to automatically update. On your Android device, go to Play Store, search for System WebView, and tap Update.

Q: Why can’t I see the entire Kiosk screen?
A: Your device resolution might be set below a height of 500px. Be sure to set the resolution to a minimum of 900px wide by 600px high.

Q: I enabled the camera on my Microsoft Surface tablet; however, the camera is facing the wrong way. How do I change its position?
A: In Chrome, in the web address bar, tap the camera icon to select a different position.

Q: What if my name doesn’t appear on the team member list?
A: If you are a new team member, your name may not yet display on the list. To refresh the list, scroll to the top, and pull downward. Your name will now display in the list. Also, if someone clocks in right before you, the list will refresh.
