Learn how to get help with your QuickBooks product or service.
Use the Help option in QuickBooks to find answers to common questions about your product or service. If you can’t find the answers you need, you can connect with an expert for help. Here’s how.
Get the help you need for your products and services
Select your product for more info about help options.
Follow these steps if you need help with QuickBooks Online EasyStart, Essentials, Plus, Advanced, ProAdvisor.

- Sign in to QuickBooks Online.
- Select

Help. This opens the Help page.
Select how you want to get help:
- Assistant tab: In the Type or ask something field, enter your question or the topic you need help with. QB Assistant will give you answers or options for you to get the answers you need.
- Search tab: Use the Search questions, keywords, or topics field to enter your question or the topic you need help with. You’ll get a list of articles related to it.
Take note of the support hours for each product.

Follow these steps if you need help with QuickBooks Desktop products.
- Open QuickBooks Desktop.
- Go to the Help, then select QuickBooks Desktop Help. This opens the Help window.
Tip: Alternatively, you can also press F1 on your keyboard to open the Help window. - Select Relevant Topics or select Search. Enter the question, keyword, or topic you need help with on Search tab.Â
If you don’t see the Help, check your screen settings in QuickBooks Desktop or update its version.

Follow these steps if you need help with QuickBooks Workforce.
- Sign in to QuickBooks Workforce.
- Select Help. This opens the Help page.
- Use the Search questions, keywords, or topics field to enter your question or the topic you need help with. You’ll get a list of articles related to it. Select Contact Us to connect to an expert for help.
- Go to this link.
- Select QuickBooks Self-Employed and enter your question.
- Select Continue and follow the instructions to sign in to your account to connect with an expert.
