after logging in, the typical QB screen appears but is small and frozen. I can not do anything at that point

Need help getting past this frozen screen.  yesterday QB worked fine. today I am stuck

Getting your QuickBooks Desktop running the way it was intended is always a priority for us. I'd love to help troubleshoot this with you so you can get back into your company file without delay.

 

There are a few things that can cause your QuickBooks program to not load properly. Since you stated it did work yesterday however, that does narrow down some of the options. The first thing I'd suggest would be to download our Tool Hub program. This program has has many of the tools we use to troubleshoot issues like this. You can find the link to download the program as well as steps to troubleshoot this error here.

 

If you continue to have trouble loading the program, calling into our support team might be the best option to get this resolved.

This just happened to me today, Sept 10 for no apparent reason. Quickbooks Premier contractor 2020.  Did you get your problem resolved?

Hi bogman. It's important you're able to use the program and experience the full benefits of it. Rest assured, I'll be happy to help. To make sure we're on the same page, have you tried using to the Tool Hub as mentioned above? What troubleshooting have you done so far?

The solution was restart computer, re-install Quickbooks.  The tool downloaded did not solve the problem. I had to contact customer support though because when I first did this the reinstall shield did not allow the Premier - contractor install option - it was greyed out.  Eventually I installed as a general installation and then re-synced the license.  Too bad because a 15 min fix became a 2 hour support call because of the confusion I had around the "greyed out option" on the install sheild.
