I appreciate you reaching out to the Community, Cheryl. I'll be glad to share more info about PST in QBO.
In QuickBooks Online, recording Provincial Sales Tax (PST) for British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba differs from recording GST or HST when collecting sales tax on expenses and purchases.
Previously, QuickBooks Online handled PST on purchases by creating separate journal entries, similar to GST and HST. However, unlike GST and HST, the PST paid on expenses cannot be deducted when you remit the PST collected from sales. As a result, PST is now included in the expense total or capital item you've purchased.
I'll also add this article to learn how to record, adjust, and delete sales tax payments in the tax center: Manage sales tax payments in QBO.
Keeping track of PST this way helps ensure your company's accounting stays accurate and saves you time at the end of the period! If you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to reach out here.
