Converting an estimate on the app, to an invoice, fails to transfer the tax code, and errors out everytime. Desktop is fine. Anyone else run into this?

Hello, @FreeStyle. Thanks for reaching out to the QuickBooks Community. I see you've encountered an issue where converting an estimate to an invoice in the QuickBooks App is failing because the tax code does not transfer, although the desktop version works fine.

This specific problem could possibly be a result of a data synchronization gap between your mobile app and the QuickBooks Online server.

Before we proceed, could you please confirm few quick things for me? First, which specific QuickBooks App are you using iOS or Android? Second, have you checked for any available updates in your device's app store? Finally, regarding your comment that it "errors out every time," could you please specify what the error you've encountered? Is it a pop-up, a specific error code, or something else?

While we wait for those details, we'll proceed with fixing the data sync issue. Here's how:

If you are using an Android Device:

1. Go to Menu ☰, then tap More Options ⋮.

2. Tap Settings, then Refresh Data.

3. Tap YES to confirm.

But If you're using iOS, here's the steps:

1. Go to Settings, then tap General.

2. Tap iPhone Storage, then tap the QuickBooks Online app.

3. Tap Offload App.
4. This will free up the storage without deleting your app's documents and data.

Once the data refresh is done, please try converting the estimate to an invoice again.

If the issue persists, consider accessing your QuickBooks Online account directly through a web browser on your device. In this method you can access your account and continually perform your QuickBooks tasks from there.

If you have any further questions about data synchronization or converting estimates, please don't hesitate to reach back out.
