I am frustrated by the fact that the Dashboard and Sales report default settings in QBO show not only invoices to clients but also unspecified deposits. In my case I have a client that received several shareholder loans over the course of a few months and QBO shows them in the total for sales. Anyone else have this issue?
We have checked the account types, and made sure the deposit is not assigned to a client. It appears in the sales report under unspecified and on the sales graphs on the Dashboard. I can customize the sales reports but what about the dashboard?
Having a clear view of the financial operations is important to managing your business. With that in mind, QuickBooks Online conveniently provides key information in the home dashboard. At the moment, customizing the various tiles of the dashboard is not an integrated feature of the system. I’ll make sure to let my development team know about your comment.

Thanks for the response.
I would suggest then that the sales report on the Dashboard should only include Invoices or have the option to exclude deposits. Otherwise it is double counting.
