Each trip in my mileage tracker is being recorded twice how do I stop this?
Using the QuickBooks mileage tracker allows you to seamlessly keep track of your mileage allowing you to focus on other areas of your business. I'd be happy to assist you with figuring out why your mileage is being recorded twice.
Since QuickBooks is a program that's easy to navigate, getting to the bottom of this shouldn't be time-consuming. I'd like to investigate further and figure out why your trips are being recorded twice. Depending on which mobile device you're using to track your mileage, I recommend uninstalling the app and reinstalling it again. Doing this refreshes the app and it fixes most issues affecting the app itself. It's essential to note that when recording your mileage, you should keep the mobile app open and once you've reached your desired destination, close the app to stop the app from recording unwanted mileage. I recommend trying this out first and let me know what happens after. In case you need to manually record your mileage, follow the steps below:
Sign in to QuickBooks Online in a web browser.
Go to the Mileage or Trips menu.
Select Add Trip.
Add the trip date, starting and ending locations, distance, and the purpose.
If your mileage is still being duplicated, I recommend contacting our support team for additional assistance. Here are the contact details:
