Hi, cash sales imported from Square into QBO error out with "Ensure GST/HST rate exists," but card sales work fine. Settings are identical. Please advise. Thank you!

been almost 3 weeks, accountant cant figure it out, cards sales im able to add, and match, but cash sales wont let me, everything is the same from cash to card, hst shows its wild, anyone else?

I'd love to assist you here promptly; however, we've received similar reports about being unable to import or add transactions to QuickBooks Online from Square due to an error, "Make sure all your transactions have a GSHT/HST rate before you save." Our engineers are aware of the issue, and it is in the process of being prioritized

 

Since you've encountered this error, I suggest contacting our phone support team so they can gather more information and guide you through the necessary steps:

 

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Click the (?) Help icon.
  3. Select the Search tab to enter your question and find Help articles.
  4. Choose Contact Us to connect to an expert for help. Note: you need to enter a question or search for an article before you can see the Contact Us option.

Once done, they'll add you to the list of affected users and will contact you via email if more information is required or when we have an update to share.
