How do I remove accounts from a template used to set up my chart of accounts? ie Trust Income. I tried to mark this account inactive but it won't allow me to do so.

How do I remove accounts from a template used to set up my chart of accounts? ie Trust Income. I tried to mark this account inactive but it won't allow me to do so.

Hi there, vgleeson.

 

Accounts that are part of your initial QuickBooks Online setup can't be inactivated or deleted to ensure accurate financial reporting.

 

While some accounts cannot be inactivated or deleted, QuickBooks does offer flexibility with many other account types.
