Hi, Jim. A locked period, such as March, usually means the timesheets have already been approved or exported, which prevents further edits.

To make updates, you’ll need to unlock and unapproved those timesheets first.

In QuickBooks Time, go to Unlock Exported Time, select the date range for March, and unlock the entries. Then, head to the Approvals section, find the approved timesheets, and unapproved them so you can edit or add time entries.

Once you’ve completed your changes, you can approve the timesheets again to keep your records up to date.

However, if you're referring to a closed books, check if your books are closed. You can do this by going to Gear icon > Accounts and Settings > Advanced, then locating the Close the books section. From there, you can update closing date to allow edits.
