How to I switch from online to self employed? None of my information will transfer to my self employed app. I can’t seem to find any obvious way to download my data.

I need to send all of my receipts and bank statements to my accountant, I would like to do this through quick books. What I really want is to get ahold of customer service but there doesn’t seem to be a chat option. Or phone number. Or call back service. Help meeeee :(

QBSE is a stand alone product. You can only import data from your bank.

Hi lauramcnally-roy.

Picking the right version of QuickBooks for your needs is the key to helping you save time and effort. I'd be happy to help you with this.

The easiest way to import all your transactions over is with a CSV file. This'll ensure your transactions are added into your Self Employed account. In order to export information from QuickBooks Online you can follow the steps in this article. In order to get bank statements downloaded you just need to download them from your bank and import them by following these steps:

  1. Open QuickBooks Self-Employed in a web browser.
  2. Select Settings ⚙.
  3. Select Imports.
  4. Select the account you want to add the transactions into.
  5. Select Browse and find the file you downloaded from your bank. It's usually in your Downloads folder.
  6. Select the file and select Open to start the import.
  7. Review the column headers and data. Make sure the Date, Description, and Amount columns on the CSV match the columns and order in QuickBooks. The other column headers can be in any order.
  8. Select Continue to complete the import.

Here's a great article with plenty of useful info: Add older transactions to QuickBooks Self-Employed.
