I accidentally selected Canada region. I want to switch to US but keep the same email

Hi, Faheem. Once a QuickBooks Online account is set under a specific region, such as Canada, it can’t be switched to another region due to differences in tax settings, payroll, and features.

To move to the US version, you’ll need to create a new QuickBooks Online account and choose the US region during setup. You can still use the same email address, but you may first need to cancel your current Canada subscription if it’s still active.

Before making the switch, I recommend downloading or backing up any important data from your current account, since information doesn’t transfer between regions.


You can also use the Multicurrency feature to record foreign currency transactions in your current account without needing to change the account’s country.
