I couldn't turn on the "Online Payments" (method) for Cards and Bank Payments even after ticking off the check boxes in the invoice. It just returns to being unchecked.

Hi there, @Accounting-Sequence.

To make sure that the Card and Bank payments boxes remain turned on, you'll need to set up your QuickBooks Payments account.

Without setting this up, the Card and Bank Payments boxes will remain unchecked, even after ticking them off on the invoice page or in the Sales section of the Accounts and Settings tab.

Here's how to get it done:

  1. There are two ways to start the QuickBooks Payments setup. You can see it below:
    - Within the invoice form, click the Get set up beside the Online Payments option and above the Card and Bank payments boxes.

    - The second option is to go to the Gear icon and from the Account and settings tab, choose Payments, then Activate payments.
  2. After that, your account will be directed to the QuickBooks Payments page.
  3. Enter the needed information in the About your business and About you sections. Do not forget to click Save and continue each time you're finished entering details to proceed smoothly.
  4. In the Your deposit account field, click the Add tab to connect the bank account you will receive the funds in. Enter the Transit, Institution, and Account numbers. Then Save.
  5. Next, click Review and finish.
  6. Tick the box below indicating that you understand the terms and regulations of activating QuickBooks Payments.
  7. Once done, click the Get set up tab to save everything.

When you return to the invoice form, you can see that the Card and Bank payments boxes are changed into an ON status, indicating successful activation.
